here

During the Golden Age of MySpace blogging there was a whole little community, writing, reading, posting comments. People from all over the globe who, without MySpace, would never have met. But, gradually, by a process of attrition, people left. I found I was writing for only a tiny few. People migrated to Facebook. I'm there these days, but only to keep in touch with people. It's nothing more than a glorified diary really. And, in order to compete with Facebook, MySpace has transformed itself into a slightly different version of Facebook. So, for better or for worse, I don't really go there that much these days. I haven't posted a blog for ages.

I have a blog here where I post short stories. I guess I haven't got blogging out of my system, Myspace demise notwithstanding. So, here I am, trying another blog. I don't know how it will work, or if it will work, as this isn't a social networking site. The odds are I will have fewer readers than ever before.

We'll see...

  1. That's a popular misquote. The actual word is "swathe," not "suede."
